From an early Neolithic settlement in 4,500BC to the present day, Armagh has experienced a dramatic history. It developed through time to become the ancient Capital of Ulster, seat of Ulster´s Kings and Queens, Saint Patrick´s City and more recently the Ecclesiastical Capital of Ireland, surviving al least ten Viking raids along the way.
